We went to the bank, well another branch of the same bank. We want to clarify a bank account. I had the same issue some time ago, and that was sorted out there and then at a branch, well the third branch some distance away. I just happened to be passing then.

In the branch, we got better information than the first one. In the first branch, probably due to lack of staff available that time, the staff gave us a leaflet and instruction to call a central number. Given I had a more informed response in the third branch some time back, that’s why we went to another branch to chance our luck. There were four members of staff I saw within the first minute we were there. The first member welcomed us into a case room immediately to find information for us, and within 5 minutes all that could be sorted had been done. We now need some secure information that they will send to us in the post.

I can guess what that secure information is, but not certain since I had the same thing some time ago. They may have changed their system.

I just assume the secure information is all we need to complete the bank account. That’s hoping.

Thinking back, going to the second branch was highly risky. Having spent time and effort travelling there, it could be the same outcome. They might say you had been seen in the first branch and so no point coming to another branch.
