It’s such a super idea we have a day devoted to our one loved one.
Nothing replaces giving somebody your utmost attention.
Nothing replaces companionship, friendship, commitment. Or love.
Indeed Jesus is the greatest friend. He saves you before you know him. There are too many philosophical debates over that last sentence. It also sounds too good to be true.
It’s all about the other one.
For the moment, let’s rest on the fact that all is good. You are not demanding the other one what they should do now that they owe you, and you can expect they don’t demand the same. Or even you or them will even think of it.
The day begins with a lot of positive energy about the relationship.

It’s all about the other one.
You want to day to hurry to the point you can be together and that the time will stop so it becomes eternity you are together. Gifts, yes, but those are beside the point.
Oh, of course, you want the tiniest detail to be perfect twice over and you will check that twice over. Sometimes it’s more that you check and make sure everything is perfect, than the fact these things are at that standard.
It’s all about the other one.
Maybe not too many surprises. You want things to go well, and that the other one does not have to pretend they are happy with your arrangement.
Ready? Nerve?
