Over the course of the past few months I have been learning some basic programming on an online application. My aim was to build up a system where I can repeat almost all the steps to send an email to about 50 people, and that there is one place in the email message where I have a specific message pertaining to the person receiving the message. Spending half a day on it again I managed to get the system working. I haven’t contacted everyone yet, but the first few. The rest I will send another day.

This online application is not very intuitive to program. Applications that are successful in terms of design and functionality need a lot of careful planning so that they are good to use.

We live in an environment that is too competitive.

  • We feel we cheated ourselves if we don’t make the best choice – the cheapest, the holiest, the quickest, the newest, the most discounted, the biggest, the highest likes, the free that has the least conditions.

We bought a car sometime ago; on the first visit there the place was closed. We even had trouble finding the place. We got the car on the second visit, but the manager wanted as much payment in cash as possible.

About 3 days following that, the police called me to validate the transaction and said the car was likely stolen or had been in some illegal activities previous to the sale. A few days later we discovered major problems with the car, its condition bordering on illegal. So much for a cheap or most affordable car within the geographical radius of search. It was not rock bottom cheap to make you think there is something suspicious here.

For about 5 years, we used the car so much it was running some 400 miles per week. Nothing further from the police.

When it was time to change the car, we wanted to get an electric, or a hybrid (electric and petrol) car. It just happened that such a secondhand car was on sale in a local car showroom. We went there, tested it, and bought it.

It was not the cheapest since going further there were cheaper ones. But it was one of the quickest purchases we did. We were so much satisfied with the speed we bought it, more that it was the kind of car we wanted and we didn’t have to go out of town.
