God is all-knowing and all-presence – omniscience and omnipresent. Words fail to describe who God is. But these attributes are a way for us to know God.
In the busy-ness of our lives, a lot of us struggle about the relevance of God.
In the busy-ness of our lives, a lot of us struggle about the relevance of God. God is more than something “ethical” or “moral” we talk about. God is not a set of rules, laws or best practice. Sometimes we are seeking God in the wrong places.
God is reaching out to us. In our silence, our boredom. When we are all alone, not watching a screen or talking, that’s probably when we are in the bath / shower. Do not fear, God is listening to you. He is waiting for you to respond.
The stillness of the walls around. This might be so for weeks during the lockdown. You might be next to a cathedral. Or you might be where there isn’t such a faith building you can go to anywhere in your community. There are times when no one can physically be in their faith buildings, but they are meeting online.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Everyone knows about the story of the birth of Jesus, his death and his resurrection. Of course there are variants of this story, including commercialised ones. The matter about Jesus is love is true.
It is prime time to seek God. Far less distraction during lockdown. The thing is, he is always seeking out for you for your response. Pray to him, read God’s word in the Bible.
In your silence, seek him.
With all the noices from the devices causing you headache, switch them off and listen to God.
With all the voices in your head causing you to break down, call out to God, he will answer you.
He has taken his people out of slavery into promised land.
Jesus has died, God raised him from the dead, this is so that everyone on accepting him as ‘saviour’ can be free from the bondage of this life, and enter his promised land of heaven.
In your silence, seek him.
