Reflect on Meditate God’s word + quick action:

What are words and phrases that are more friendly and pleasing when received by hearers, helping to calm situation and conversation?
Some situations require stern words, or words of clarity. It can come across as confrontational: adding fire to fire will not help. What are your suggestions, giving examples?
Of the following, rate 5 as something that makes you react quickly, and down to 1 for the one that you can respond without a rush
- Being called to an “important” meeting while you are just about to finish one
- About to submit your work to meet deadline, a message comes that needs your prompt attention, while the delivery person is waiting at the door
- Sending an updated rota with addition of a training day and adjusting for a new worship team for two Sundays
- You hear what sounds like fire alarm two buildings away
- Loss of home internet connection for a hybrid service, starting in 3 hours, where the young people will be presenting from their respective homes.
The nature of some activities, jobs, sports and tasks require instant response. For example, teaching, team sports, emergency services, traffic control, food processing plant etc. Does “meditation on God’s word” apply, and if so, in what ways?
Jesus hurried along. Other times he stayed on. What examples from the Gospels illustrate these?
Some of us tend to have long periods of relative silence, rather than getting busy with little rest. What are some words of encouragement from us, and other ideas that we might have, to prompt those we meet regularly, who are “always in a hurry”, to meditate on God’s word?
