Hymns & songs A to Z

When you feel weighed down with burden, anxiety and concern, it seems getting out of bed puts you in proximity of such reality but unprepared. Closing your eyes and continuing lying down delays that process, and gives you more time to “charge” up to face the world.

When you feel excited of the coming day, the moment you are awake you are already up and getting ready to start the activity.

As we arise, we should welcome the sunlight with songs of praise. As God brings light into our life freeing us from the prison of darkness, we recognise and worship Christ as the Light of all lights.

As we arise, but with burden, we are encouraged to face the day with the dawn of the heavenly trumpet, bringing about a new life of righteousness.

As we arise, in the claim that God has brought us life out of sin and death, we recall God in his laws spoke through his prophet and psalmists to bless us. Bidding an invitation to accept him to step into eternal life, we want to praise him all day long.

Have a look at the hymn Morn of morns, and day of days! An old number maybe; it has lines easy to remember – fitting to repeat / sing when you awake each day.
