Book of Leviticus

There is a passage in Matthew 25 where Jesus was recorded as saying whatever you do to others, you do that in my name. The two critical points are whatever, and in the name of Jesus. It’s one thing to say we have direct access to God, it’s quite another to say whatever our actions to others, all of that done as we represent Jesus.

PicLeviticus 8:3 appears to be a forerunner of Matthew passage. All shall meet at worship. That’s it.

We can discuss all day and night what makes a congregation. If congregation refers to only Christians, then Matthew and Leviticus apply to us. “Congregation” should not apply to “everyone”, including “other nations” of the Old Testament. We can debate “proxy” faith (another person bidding the faith for you), but we should not forget those who are in “active” faith and what our whatever and in Jesus’ name really means
